TOP MNC€™S HIRING LOCAL TALENTS FROM LUCKNOW

Gone are the days when people thought of moving to big cities for better career prospects. These days, small-town hiring is becoming more organized. Top MNC’s and employment agencies are following and expanding their footsteps to tier-2 and -3 cities. This move sets out two purposes. Firstly, to source talent from these towns/cities for local hiring and secondly, to tap into the tier-2 and -3 job-market talent for pan-national requirements. This shift has been very advantageous for our own city, Lucknow.

Journey from a laid-back city of the period of Nawabs to a city of fast moving buses, cabs, women’s powerline and metro, the transformation has been tremendous. With the stupendous infrastructural development, Lucknow is now one of the preferred spots for quality education and placements. Lucknow is home to a number of prominent educational and research organisations including Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM-L), Indian Institute of Information Technology, Lucknow (IIIT-L), Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), Institute of Hotel Management, Lucknow (IHM), King George’s Medical University (KGMU), University of Lucknow, Lal Bahadur Shastri Group of Institutes, etc. Due to the reasons like these and more, Lucknow is ranked sixth in a list of the ten fastest growing job-creating cities in India, which is expected to create thousands of job opportunities in the state.
